One of the most frequent questions we are asked is how much our services cost and whether there is any support available.

How much does a dyslexia test cost in the UK?

The cost of a full dyslexia assessment can vary quite considerably across the UK, and in our experience you can expect to pay anything from £300 to £900 for a diagnostic assessment. Screening tests can be much cheaper, and although they do not provide a full diagnosis, they can still be used to provide support in schools and workplaces.

 

How much does Lumen Support charge for an online dyslexia assessment?

We currently charge £375 for a full diagnostic assessment for dyslexia, although this can sometimes be lower if we are offering a discount. Please contact us to check whether this is currently the case.

 

Can I get a dyslexia diagnosis through the NHS?

Unfortunately, as dyslexia is considered to be a learning difference rather than a medical condition, assessments are not available through the NHS.

Is there any funding or support available for dyslexia assessments in the UK?

Some schools, universities and workplaces will pay part or all of your assessment fee, and it is worth checking this prior to booking. At Lumen Support, we offer payment plans to help spread the cost of the assessment. Please contact us for further details. We believe that dyslexia assessments should be accessible to everyone.
