A large proportion of our work is with university students, either current or prospective. Here are some details about how an online dyslexia assessment can help.

How does an online dyslexia assessment help?

An online dyslexia assessment can help to identify areas of strength as well as difficulty. Following the session we can provide comprehensive recommendations tailored to your specific needs, which will help you access support in the future. 

 

Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)

If dyslexia is identified during the assessment, your diagnostic report will be accepted as evidence for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), which provides support for university students. Reports identifying dyscalculia as well as characteristics of dyspraxia and ADHD are also accepted.

What support is available?

This can include access to a laptop and assistive software, such as text to speech or speech to text programs, as well as study skills tutoring. Your university can also consider additional support in formal examinations, such as 25% extra time and the use of a word processor.
